Nice place, nice house, very quiet but also not so far from nice places, towns or beaches,.. The swimming pool was very well appreciated also Sophie from France.

This villa is incredibly stylish and very comfortable. It’s huge! The views are unbelievably beautiful. There are 3 sitting rooms, which we made good use of because the weather was so hot that we couldn’t go outside during the middle of the day. We read on the sofas, (there’s a really good choice of books and maps) and the kids played loads of chess and watched yt as the wifi is good. The pool is long enough to swim lengths in, and there’s a BBQ with a long table. We ate at the local restaurant on our last night, (my nettle tagliatelle was one of my favourite meals in Italy). It’s a great place to discover Le Marche, it feels warm and welcoming and homely.

Great house situated perfectly in the village with great facilities, stonishing view, two nice terrasses and a great pool for kids. The village has all you need including a great grocery store, good restaurant (also with kids) and a great playground.

We were looking for an interesting (and new for us) location in Italy to spend time with friends and family to celebrate some significant birthdays, as well as have a relaxing holiday. This property did not disappoint! We were unprepared for the view and spent at least some part of the day just looking. The pool was a definite bonus – it was hot but being able to wallow (or do some lengths) at least once a day either looking up at the beautiful house or out across the landscape was fabulous. The town was lovely and had more to it than we expected. Bakery, art gallery, bars, football matches, restaurant, supermarket – everyone friendly and prepared to put up with our blundering Italian. If we had not gone anywhere else we would have been content but …… there were other highlights. Ascoli Piceno – could have spent more than one day, Amandola – great market (and for any fly fishermen out there, a beautiful river and brown trout), Servigliano – such a surprise I’m not going to say any more!, Lago di Fiastro – go the long route! and take walking shoes, Lago di San Rufino – a shame we couldn’t hire boats but had the best lunch at the Vecchio Moro (and some great fishing too!), oh and all the other hill top towns with hidden gems, views and restaurants. Our party ranged across the generations from 13 to 80 and all were happy. Plenty of space, wifi a bonus for the teenagers, proper kitchen for the cooks, and the view for those with nothing to do!

We had a fantastic two weeks at Sharon’s villa in MSM. The views from all outward facing windows in the villa are breathtaking and we never tired of them. The pool was lovely and enjoyed by all of us, and especially our children/teenagers. The villa is very spacious, which meant that as two families holidaying together there were choices about where to gather to play games, listen to music or allow someone to just read quietly. The house is well equipped – WiFi available in a number of rooms (important to our teenagers!), a TV and video player (we enjoyed catching up on some memorable musicals), dishwasher, washing machine and drier, sound system with a big selection of CD’s, and then books and board games. We loved the look of the villa, the decor and particularly the outdoor terrace and BBQ area. It was lovely to have a choice of where to enjoy meals together and, of course, the weather was wonderful and allowed us to enjoy the garden and pool fully. Our communication with Sharon before our trip was very positive and helpful. She gave us lots of helpful information about markets and the village itself. The property manager, Mike was amazing – came by to check we were doing well, and offer advice about restaurants, markets, routes and local festivals and events. We felt very secure knowing that he would be available if we called. Monte San Martino is a beautiful village with great views from almost every vantage point. Local folk are friendly and we enjoyed a meal at Dei Priori (in the square) and a few coffees at the little coffee bar down the road. The grocery store is small but well-stocked, and the pharmacy proved handy. Nearby Servigliano has bigger supermarkets and a great gelato/bar. We enjoyed visiting Porto San Giorgio (beach), Lake Fiastra, Macerata, Tolentino, and Sarnano (really lovely). We only visited the beach once because being at the house with the pool was so relaxing and we loved being there. This is a wonderful villa and we highly recommend its charms. Thank you very, very much.

It’s hard to know where to begin in reviewing our stay at this incredible home, in this magical hilltop village hosted by such genuinely lovely people. The photographs and description raised our expectations but I can honestly say that the reality is even better. Our dealings with Sharon before we arrived gave us a sense of the warm person that she is and her artistic, caring personality is evident in 1001 subtle details throughout the home. We drove up the winding road to Monte San Martino, stopping frequently to stare in wonder at the patchwork quilt-like hills of Le Marche stretching out below us, backed by the towering, ragged Sibillini peaks. We had arranged to meet Sharon’s agent, Mike, in the historic piazza that would become a scene of so many fond memories over the coming days. He turned out to be a truly lovely guy who couldn’t do enough to make us welcome and advise us on where to go and what to see in this unspoilt region of fascinating hilltop towns, mouth watering foods and first rate local wines. This information was augmented by a really useful house-book at the property and contact from Sharon telling us about the various markets that take place on a daily basis in the various villages and towns. We went to a different place every day and still didn’t come close to seeing even a small part of what was available. But let me talk about the house! I can quite honestly say that this is the most wonderful place I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in. It ticks absolutely all of the boxes. The house itself is vast but each room has been decorated with taste and character in sympathy with the historic nature of the place. There are a variety of communal areas where we could gather together or spend time alone with a book or online – dining room, kitchen, several living rooms, on the terrace, on the lower outdoor barbecue area or by the pool. There is every modern convenience – from good hot showers and filter water on tap to a good washing machine and a dryer. We usually frequented the downstairs living area with it’s outside balcony looking, from an eagle’s nest-like perspective, across an impossibly beautiful landscape where one often found oneself looking down on the swifts and swallows that add to the sense of nature that surrounds this place. Sharon has an eclectic music collection that was perfect for creating a relaxing mood. The pool is a proper length and depth where you can actually get a good swim as well as cooling down from the sun. The locals were so welcoming. By the time we left we felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends in the two bars – one with a super restaurant as well – and supermarket that provide all you need locally. We can’t wait to return.
